Settings

To open Settings, tap the hamburger symbol at the top right of the main screen. From here you can access: About Device, Language, Time Zone, Wi-Fi, Users, and Display.

About Device

Shows your Model Name, Website, MAC Address, and software Version.

  • Update Software – Updates to the latest version if one is available. During an update, the screen will turn off for about two minutes. If it doesn’t come back on, try unplugging and reconnecting. If it still doesn’t update, please reach out—this may indicate a defect.
  • Factory Reset – Resets sugardash to original settings.

Language / Time Zone

Straightforward menus to change your preferred language or time zone.

WiFi

Use this to change or reconnect to your Wi-Fi.

  • sugardash connects to standard 2.4GHz home and school networks.
  • Some schools and workplaces use “captive portal” Wi-Fi (networks that need a browser login). sugardash can’t sign into those directly, but this is usually easy for IT to work around.
  • In most cases, school IT can simply “whitelist” the device using its MAC address (listed under About Device). Once whitelisted, sugardash connects normally and stays connected.

Display

The Display menu contains:

Layout Options

  • Delta (+/-) – Shows the change between the current and last glucose value.
  • New Data Countdown – Displays a countdown bar for the next reading (update timing depends on CGM type).
  • Display Active User Name – Shows or hides the user’s name at the top of the main screen.

Status Bar

  • Clock Enabled – Turns the clock on/off.
  • Large Clock – Makes the clock bigger.
  • Wi-Fi Status Symbol – Shows or hides the Wi-Fi strength symbol.

Colors

  • Three color wheels for In Range, Out of Range, and Urgent glucose values.
  • Use User Colors – Switches to user-specific background colors instead of range-based colors.
  • Reset Defaults – Returns colors to factory settings.
