About Device
About Device
Shows information about your device including:
- Your device model name
- Your device MAC Address
- Your current sugardash software version
- Button to Update Device Software If an update is available, your device will update software and automatically restart when complete. This process usually takes less than 3 minutes.
- Factory Reset Resets your device to factory settings.
Users
Users
The Users menu lets you manage CGM connections. You can add up to 6 unique CGM users to a single sugardash device. In User settings you can:
- Update User Name
- Change connected CGM
- Change Glucose Units (mg/dl or mmol/L)
- Change your user color
- Adjust user alert settings.
User Alert Settings
User Alert Settings
At the top of the Alerts menu is a master switch that enables or disables all alerts for that user.
If alerts are enabled, you can configure individual settings for the following alert types:
- Urgent Low
- Low
- High
- Urgent High
- No Data
Each alert type has its own settings.
- Enable Turns that specific alert on or off.
- Sound Choose the sound that will play when the alert triggers.
- Alert Duration Controls how long the alert will sound before it automatically snoozes if it is not acknowledged.
- Mute Override If the device is set to Mute volume mode, alerts with Mute Override enabled will still play at Loud volume.
The No Data alert includes one additional setting called For more than.
- For more than Specifies how long sugardash must go without receiving glucose data before triggering the No Data alert. This helps prevent alerts during short gaps in data, such as when a phone briefly loses connection with the CGM.
Display Settings
Display Settings
The Display menu lets you control how sugardash looks and behaves on screen.
From here, you can adjust layout details, clock settings, colors, glucose thresholds, multi-user behavior, and sleep settings.
Layout Options
Layout Options
The Layout Options menu lets you choose which information appears on the main screen.
You can turn the following items on or off:
- Delta Shows the difference between the current glucose reading and the previous reading.
- New Data Countdown Shows how long until the next glucose reading is expected.
- User Name Shows the user’s display name at the top of the screen.
Status Bar
Status Bar
The Status Bar menu controls how the clock is displayed.
Available options include:
- Large Clock Makes the clock easier to read from across the room.
- 24-Hour Clock Displays time in 24-hour format instead of 12-hour format.
These settings only affect how time appears on the screen. They do not affect glucose data.
Colors
Colors
The Colors menu lets you control the screen colors used by sugardash.
You can choose background colors for:
- In Range Used when glucose is within your target range.
- Out of Range Used when glucose is high or low, but not urgent.
- Urgent Used when glucose is in an urgent high or urgent low range.
You can also enable Unique User Colors. When this is turned on, each user is assigned their own color instead of using range-based colors. This is especially helpful in homes with multiple users, since it makes it easier to tell whose data is on screen at a glance.
Ranges
Ranges
The Ranges menu lets you set the glucose thresholds used by sugardash.
You can adjust:
- Urgent High
- High
- Low
- Urgent Low
These values determine when sugardash considers glucose to be in range, out of range, or urgent. They also affect screen colors and alert behavior.
Multi-User Options
Multi-User Options
The Multi-User Options menu controls how sugardash behaves when more than one user has been added.
You can choose between:
- List View Shows multiple users on the screen at the same time.
- Automatic Cycling Shows one user at a time and rotates through users automatically.
If Automatic Cycling is enabled, you can also choose how many seconds each user stays on screen before switching to the next one.
Sleep Schedule
Sleep Schedule
The Sleep Schedule menu lets you automatically change how the screen behaves during certain hours, such as overnight.
To use it:
- Turn Sleep Schedule on
- Choose a screen mode
- Set a Start time
- Set a Stop time
Available screen modes are:
- Normal
- Dark
- Screen Off
During the scheduled time, sugardash will switch to the selected mode and lower brightness. When the sleep period ends, the display returns to its previous behavior as long as there has been no interaction.
