Setup

Plug in your sugardash and power it on. Select your preferred language, then follow the prompts to connect to WiFi.

Once connected, you’ll be brought to the Users screen.

Add First User

On the Users screen, tap Add New User to create your first profile.

Enter a User Display Name — a simple label like MomAlex, or Riley. This name is only for display on the main screen; it is not a CGM account login.

After naming the user, you’ll see a new screen titled with that name. It includes:

  • Update Name
  • CGM
  • Glucose Units
  • Color

You can change these anytime in Settings, but the important step here is selecting CGM to connect your glucose source.

CGM Options

Dexcom

  • Enter your Dexcom account username and password (not a Follow account).
  • You can confirm your login works at uam1.dexcom.com.
  • Note: Dexcom only uploads real-time readings to its Share server if your account has a follower. If you don’t already use Dexcom Follow, you send simply send yourself an invite.

Libre

  • Sign in with a Libre LinkUp account that follows the Libre account you want displayed.
  • After signing in, follow the prompts to choose which user from your LinkUp list to show on sugardash.

Nightscout

  • Enter your Nightscout site URL and API Secret or API Token.
  • New to Nightscout? Tap the link on this screen for setup help.

Once CGM info is entered, you can go straight to the main screen or return to add more users.
