No Data

The most common issue you may see is three dashed lines instead of a glucose value.

This means sugardash is connected to your account correctly, but no data is being received. To understand why, it helps to know how data flows:

  1. The CGM sends data to the wearer’s phone.
  2. The phone uploads that data to the cloud service (Dexcom Share or Libre LinkUp).
  3. sugardash pulls data from that cloud service.

If any link in that chain is broken, sugardash can’t display a value:

  • If the CGM isn’t talking to the phone.
  • If the phone isn’t connected to the internet.
  • Or both.

Dexcom Users

If you use Dexcom and don’t have at least one Follower, real-time data won’t reach Dexcom’s Share servers. The fix is simple: invite yourself as a follower (install the Dexcom Follow app and accept your own invite).

Quick Check

A good test: open your Follow app (Dexcom Follow or Libre LinkUp).

  • If the app shows data, sugardash should too.
  • If the app doesn’t show data, fix the phone or CGM connection first.
